St. Joseph Institute of Industry & Agriculture

Education built for students

The St. Joseph Institute of Industry & Agriculture is a proposed nonprofit work college being developed to offer an alternative path through higher education.

Our model is designed to combine formal education with on-the-job training, allowing students to build meaningful work experience while helping offset the cost of their education and living expenses. Along the way, students will also develop the practical knowledge, character, and confidence needed for life beyond the classroom.

SJI is still under development. We are not currently accepting applications or enrolling students, and the plans presented on this website remain subject to change and applicable approvals.

More can be achieved when formal education meets hands-on training. At the St. Joseph Institute of Industry & Agriculture, we hope to equip students with:

Tuition-Free Education

By working at school-owned or affiliated businesses, students help offset costs for tuition & living expenses.

Preparation for Adult Life

Many of our general education classes will focus on practical preparation for succeeding in life as an adult, including classes on finances and taxes, communication, life-long learning, and building healthy habits and relationships.

Relevant Work Experience

All students will work in a business related to their degree, helping them launch their career faster and train them in current best practices for the industry.

Post Graduate Support & Resources

Each student will be provided additional resources and support post-graduation to help them obtain employment or launch their own business. These may include templates, training, and community support.
